Re: Paging Seaworthy Lass, and other GN Espace owners

We try different type of regulator, all the same. The amount of gas that arrive to the gn is ok. All 4 burner can work together. The pressure is better not to change ! In order to make the burner powerfull… but if you have any practical advice on how make it more powerfull i’ll apreciate.

Get some small drill bits on fractions of mm. Open the holes in the jets by 0.1mm at a time note also natural gas jets are a bit bigger see a domestic hardware supplier

It’s actually a lot more complex than that. Remember, we are trying to bring a marginal 1.5 kW burner up to 2.5 kW or more, so increasing the gas flow by 67%. It is extremely unlikely that the air mixing Venturi will operate properly with that much more gas. This will lead to a yellow, sooty flame and an increase in CO production. The lower burner efficiency will also reduce the heat produced per gram of gas burned.

A 0.1 mm increase in diameter is very large. A typical orifice for a 2kW burner is about 0.8 mm. Increasing this by 0.1 is a 70% increase in area, and will result in about the same increase in gas flow. That’s a LOT!

This is a very dangerous suggestion to publish.

Citric acid “ spotless” absolutely did not work. Left the stainless literally still rusty. I ended up washing the citric crap off the piece and used phosphoric which turned the rust black (aka passivation) and I then brushed that right off.

So AFAIC, YOUR word is worth nothing

.8x.8x3.14/4=0.5024mm2

.9x.9x3.14/4=0.6356mm2

0.6356/0.5024=1.266->a 26% increase in area.
