Nassau Bahamas grocery recommendation

Can anyone recommend a grocery store for provisioning for a family of 4 for 1 week? We are leaving from the east end of the island at Palm Cay Marina.


Should we be looking for local brands, or are US brands the norm on Nassau? I ask because I am looking at an online list and it seems to be all US brands.


Any recommendations for logistics (taxi there and back, need for bags, etc.) and cost expectation (I see guidance that the cost is up to 2x the US, but the one online place I find is well more than that.

Solomon's is within walking distance, and Palm Cay has cars. We have twice gone into Palm Cay for repairs while in the Exumas.

You can take a big cooler with you on the flight over. Pack it with stuff you like from the USA. Fill it with ice and tape the lid shut.
Pretty much everything in Nassau will have been imported from the USA.
If you will only be gone for one week, you should easily be able to make do with stuff you bring over. Get your beer, rum, etc, there.
