membrane question

I have SW30-2540 membranes and white fiberglass pressure vessel 2540.5 with 1/4" NPT female fittings. One end has single female, and the other has two female fittings. One of them for the product out, and the other is for brine. Does it matter which brine fitting is input and which end is output or should the brine output be on the same side as the product output?

petar,
there should be a "V" shaped gasket on one end of the membrane.
that is the end that the salt water goes in .
without the gasket the membrane works either way that is why there is a gasket groove on each end .
fair winds,
eric
