Great storage solution

Not actually food and drink related, but a great storage solution.
I made, what I call, "sausage bags" to store rolled up clothes, towels, etc. in.
I made a tubular bag about 12" in diameter, and as long as the the length of the v-berth on the side. Make the length to suit the area.
The bag has a flap the length of it with "lift a dot" fasteners for attaching above each side of the v-berth bunk.
Put a continuous zipper in the bag that is as long as the bag. Put multible zipper pulls on the bag, so you can open any area to get stuff out, without having to open the whole bag.
These have given us a lot more, easy to access storage.

I will try to find them and take a picture. The boat is "resting" on the hard in our back yard, while we do some work and we have took everything off the boat, and stored it in the boat shed.

Inner tube with one end folded over and nailed between two 1X2s works, and is both waterproof and cheap.

I found the bags. Here is one of them. The bags measure 10" in diameter and are 65" long. 4 zippers allow access to any area without opening the whole bag.

Seems like a nice way to store various types of fabric items like clothing.

We store just about all our cruising clothes in them. T shirts, shorts, jeans, socks, etc. Anything that can be rolled up.
Hung over each side of the v berth, it's a lot of storage in an unused space.

Hi, great storage for soft stuff. Any chance you or someone out there knows where to purchase a shelf (actually two) for inside both of my catamaran staterooms. King size berths, want about 50 - 60 " long, 8" (or close) deep with front lip and ability to put either a duffle (small) books, safety harness and vest possibly a rail or bungy type to hold in any taller items. (not in the mood to make myself this time around) I have searched cataloges, West Marine, Boater's World, Kitchen and Bath places...so far, nothing useful. Tired of looking at the hammocks swinging!!!
