LOL.... in Oz, the practice is known as a 'Pommie bath'

Wonder how that came about, eh :-) ?

In the US Army we just called it a "whore bath". No need to wonder how THAT came about.

Re: Does no one use shoulder yokes?

Yeah, I think it's one of those "insert downtrodden minority here" remarks.

So the Brits probably call it a 'Scottish' bath; the Scots, an Irish bath; the Irish, a Welsh bath, the Welsh, a Cornish bath... and so on.

In Oz it's a 'blackfeller' bath; in NZ a 'Maori' bath, and so on.

Although, culturally speaking, I'm wondering what India's Dalits call it.....

Perhaps a 'Bangladeshi' bath? or a 'Sri Lankan' bath???

Just curious....

Re: Does no one use shoulder yokes?

Actually, I think the indigenes refer to it as a 'Chinese' bath, as the Chinese, historically, were even lower on the social totem pole than the blacks.

Remember, we had a 'White Australia Policy' in Federal law until the seventies.

No-one is ever going to accuse us of not being racist! [wink]

In Oz, that could be 'Australian Born Chinese' - which is what them from the 'parent country' calls those it considers lesser beings, having been 'polluted' by the democratic ways of their birth country.

Re: Does no one use shoulder yokes?

So, I'm getting to the age where if I don't exercise regularly, I feel exhausted and tired all the time.

For me, at least, what seems to work best to give me energy throughout the day are squats and lunges.

Which raises the question - do I really want to carry that sort of weight on my boat?

And that brings us back to yokes. A couple of jerry cans and a pole and I have some exercise gear.

Sorry if this post has offended anyone.
Your post shared an experience without trying to push your viewpoint on others.
That’s ok by me.
I have friends who are religious, who are not, who are pretty far one way or the other politically.
As long as they don’t proselytize it’s all good.
I hope that’s the way CF works.
