Re: Comfort Foods
I used to take my hot cocoa with a generous dollop of dark rum in the morning, but that would kind of kill my ambitions for the rest of the day. Great for when you are anchored up in a cove somewhere and the wind is howling.

Re: Comfort Foods
I have always eaten all the things that are bad for you,
Refined sugar, Salt. Potatoes, Dairy foods, meat,
A nice Big steak, Chips, eggs, Mashed spud and pumpkin,
Thats probably why I am still so fit and active,
The trick is not to eat more than your body requires, Hahahahahaha
And a nice big cup of coffee with milk and two spoons of sugar,
Brian,

Re: Comfort Foods
I also ran out of smokes four days out from Bundaberg,
Customs and Quarantine were a bit wary of me, as I was a bit deranged when I pulled up at the customs Pier, Hahahahaha
The fridge ran out of gas at the same time, But at least I could get a coffee with the micro wave and UHT milk, Yaaaarrrrkkkkk.

Re: Comfort Foods
As a child, my mom would feed me Campbell's chicken noodle soup. That's what I want when I'm sick.

Re: Comfort Foods
Funny you mentioned that. I got over Campbell's chicken noodle soup but it's still what my mother wants when she is not feeling well. Gotta be Campbell's too, no other brand. Thanks for the memories.

When offshore on a night watch there is nothing like a jar of nutella and a spoon.
