Taurus windvane steering

Hi I have recently bought a Tartan 3800 which has a Taurus windvane. The set up looks straight forward but it came with no instructions.Does anyone out there have any info or experience of these vanes. Thanks john

I've used a couple of different types of windvane systems but I've heard of this brand. I could be wrong but I'd hazard a guess that it's similar in design to, if not a knock off of, another brand.

Any chance you could either post a photo or at least tell us what type of windvane (e.g., pendulum, vertical or horizontal vane to trim tab or auxiliary rudder) it is?
