OK, your signature got me curious. Unless Google Maps is wacky, that puts you on top of a mountain???

Deepfrz,
sounds like a good idea. I appreciate it

There are dreamers, and there are DREAMERS.
This forum, which IMHO, is the best of its type on the net, takes seriously the advice-giving side of its nature. It generally does not like guessing games by new, unknown members.
With our large number of members, we have people everywhere on the globe.
You might find that one of your countrymen, or women, has if fact been around.
OTOH, we might be able to say, WE knew you first, right here.

This was my point, only better said. It doesn't really matter what country you are from. What matters here is your lack of knowledge, and sailing skills. There is a huge amount of books on the subject. The knowledge is available, but the skills you will have to earn..........i2f

Good to know my GPS setup is spot on. ... The berth is at sea level (Mare Island Strait) and not on a mountain lake.

Google's photo was taken before Mike swapped locations between his adjacent houseboat (rectangular) and sailboat (berthed crooked) and before I moved in.
