Actually, it may have been difficult to see each other before the yacht began to move.

Then when it was obvious,the yacht certainly had enough room and ability to keep out of the way. He (the yachty) has used up his luck with the 'floating steel islands'

Yes, but think of the tourists, they had a splendid day out and now have something really interesting to talk about over dinner parties when they get home. Might have taken 10 years off the Captain, but thats alright, so long has everyone had a good day out.
