Raymarine Autohelm Failure

My ST 1400 self steering dropped out, Nothing broke,

Being inexperienced with it at the time, I finally figured out what was wrong with it,
Even tho I was doing 7 knots west, The side current was doing 5 knots north,
The GPS couldnt handle it, It was giving me 1.5 knots west, It was going around in circles,
It didnt know where it was, So kept dropping out,

Nothing wrong with any of the system, Once I got past the sideways
sea current, It worked fine,
