New kind of genius

This guy decided to not only anchor in the mooring field with a bridle [on top of a mooring ball] but also decided to tie off to the ball at the bottom of the ball where the chain connects.

And... I noticed he had not let out enough anchor chain to allow the snubber to take the strain. While he was in getting hammered at the bar with his fenders out my wife and I heard the anchor being pulled through.

He has spent the last two hours trying to free his mess.Click image for larger version

When you said he was getting "hammered at the bar" my first thought was he was anchored by a river bar with the resulting nightmare. But getting hammered at the local onshore bar probably made it much harder for him to get it sorted out. Darwin's law at work.
