Lookin for Mojo in all the wrong places...standing behind a bull can only result in bad Mojo...one way or the other.

The term "Mojo" I think has evolved into more about state of mind, but some of the old Delta Blues lyrics/African lore refer to a Mojo "hand" or "bag" which was like a good luck charm. They contained various physical ingredients, but never heard of bull excrement in one.

You can of course buy a proper, custom made, Mojo Hand on line now: http://www.luckymojo.com/

Re: Mojo

My Wife made up my juju bag, and it contains something from all of the elements as well as pagan figures, I carry it with me where ever I go, it hangs over my bed, when I get home then everything is brought out for a cleansing in sunshine and white sage, I get thoroughly saged as well, along with the house so that I don't bring in any bad juju that might have climbed on me during the trip. The boat gets a heavy sageing every spring as well.

Re: Mojo

Funny how we never notice the juju unless its bad, but when the mojo stops working you notice it right away. A couple of times I have had too much mojo. When that happens the mojo is out of balance with juju. You can definitely get some on you.

I use sage in bottom paint-- 87% more effective than pepper. You read it here first.

Re: Mojo

If it is on the internet then it must be true. That statement is correct 97.65% of the time. Made more true by the use of % sign.

I like to carry that out to several places not just the usual two, e.g. 97.65485745%, almost godlike more true. I know my signs and shapes but those dang colors!

Believe mine did that too. The day we made papers, things started to go south...the weather went unstable, the SSB quit working, an oil leak developed and got progressively worse as we moved East, and the inverter died stone cold dead (no status lights no nothing - like a brick).

With this much crap going wrong I decided to change plans and drop back West for repairs. The day we left: weather stabalized and got nice even w a favorable breeze, oil leak stabalized (at least quit getting worse)....and last night, after docking, I flipped on the inverter and it fired up like new, not even a glitch.

[Insert Twilight Zone theme here]

Re: Mojo

We think we got our mojo back, so we'll set off again for Cartegena first thing in the morning. The burned up starter motor, seized up windlass and roller furling are all repaired. The boat seems happy.
