'Hurricane' Gaston

At the moment he's heading straight into the "alley":

I'm worried about this one; I'm an amateur weatherhead and I'm looking at a frontal zone that will approach about thursday from the west, which will push Gaston over Cuba to KW and the West coast of FL (about the same track as Charlie)

I wish you no harm, but hope your track is close. I'd rather not see it in the Gulf heading my way. Good luck!

Being 50 miles north of you I am worried as well, but the latest from NHC is that "...GASTON WEAKENS...NOW A TROPICAL DEPRESSION..."

I didn't know it was above a TD yet??? I put the " " around hurricane on the assumption that it would get there eventually.

I'm in Sarasota right now, prepping up here... back to KW sat. I might be back in SRQ Weds LOL!

Yup... funny how they do that.... for instance, Charlie was predicted to hit Tampa.... It went in Charlotte Harbor instead. I sat in Sarasota expecting hurricane force winds and didn't see over 20kts.... My GF at the time was in Arcadia (60 miles inland) and saw 120!... Ya never know!
