That's about the sum of it, the bows are pointing up into the river Hamble.
Southampton Water in the back ground would also have a ebb tide which the tankers in the back ground are pointing into, however, its much weeker. What you can't see is a huge underwater gravel bank behind the yacht which follows the shore line (right side of photo) for several miles. Of course top
advice on CF is that a yacht has every right to use a channel and shouldn't run away or carry out 90 degree turns just because there is another vessel nearby.
