Helicopter to the rescue, but not the way you might think

Nothing to do with sailing, but how a dinghy got towed by an helicopter, see link here:

Re: Helicopter to the rescue, but not the way you might think

We had an equally funny experience. While sailing our 21' Hobie Cat we were becalmed about a 1/4 mile from our beach in the Bahamas. My neighbor had just landed his Lake Amphibian and was taxiing by when he turned around and gave us a blast of prop wash to blow us into the beach. Not your typical tow.

Towing a boat with a helicopter doesn't always work well. In this case the pilot applied too much power with too little control. Oops.

I think this was being filmed as part of a Mexican soap opera but I am not one hundred percent sure.

Perhaps the bottom of the boat needs a new paint job?

Folks up there can pretty well cope with anything except the beer fridge breaking down.

Real NT/WA/QLD men/women can drink their beer "Kimberly Cool"

The carton of tinnies just needs to be left in the shade for 20 minutes (or less if pressed)

Re: Helicopter to the rescue, but not the way you might think

My only question; that's a $30,000 boat? Maybe a $30,000 motor.
