FT Lauderdale to Tampa

Looking at buying a sailboat in Ft Lauderdale and bringing it back to Tampa area. Draft is 5'8" and mast is 64'1".
What are my options? And how long will it take doing only daylight sailing?

Re: FT Lauderdale to Tampa

Since this is a delivery I'd do the following: Lauderdale to Miami as a trial run, I like the Marine Stadium anchorage if available. Under the bridge and out past Stiltsville and overnight at Rodrigues Key. Hawk Channel to Marathon, Hawk Channel to Key West. Then either non-stop to Tampa OR (since you aren't doing overnightsS) Little Shark first and day sail up the coast. Will take a week or so based on weather.

Is this a duplicate post? If interested, please check my website (link in profile) and either PM or contact me through my website. As I am based in St Petersburg I have done this run many times.

We can squeak through the channel and under the bridge at Marathon, or take the long way around Key West. The shorter route can be tight as the bridge does not always allow 65’. And if the bridge is showing 66-67, then the channel will be tight.
