Frenchman would cross Atlantic in barrel

He has no sails or motor, proposes to ride the currents across the Atlantic.

Re: Frenchman would cross Atlantic in barrel

Reading this reminded me of another Atlantic drift crossing. Steve Callahan did this in 1982 by accident in a rubber raft. His story made a wonderful inspiring book.

Unless he has a mighty big drogue, his windage will overpower the effects of the current.

pirate Re: Frenchman would cross Atlantic in barrel

It may make his landing random but he is doing it in an area where prevailing winds and currents work together.
