Puertos del Estado - Mapas de Viento y Oleaje (AEMET/OPPE)

Click the area in question, in your case the western med, then choose the wind and or waves. I would head for the south of Sard, the Gulf the Lyon can whip things up in the north. IF you get too much wind lay south.
Good trip!

No need for eengleesh. Its all pictures.
Click on the med between menorca and sardinia, it will go blue, then, on the right, two panes will open, the top is waves, the bottom is wind, click the little icon called "Todos", a new window will open showing the 3 day prognosis. IT IS VERY GOOD!

Just tried this but it's still in development so will use the full web site version until it's completed

I-phone app works OK for me, but agree if you have a laptop the web version is easier to read.

Another good source is Frank Singletons website, more European weather sources than you can shake a stick at

Re: Forecast Med Weather

a much discussed topic in the med

i will second lolarose's windfinder tip, though it depends on the location
not very good for local winds though and the Med with all the corners is a super local whether system

here are the local french metro for corsica

[ MétéoFrance ]

edit: sorrrry must subconsciously have read corsica.. anyway menorca, i got nothing

Re: Forecast Med Weather

As your trip is mostly well away from shores, I would use zygrib. Their waves forecast is for 72 hours, wind forecast 10 days. Remember, everybody uses the same raw data.

Frank is the man! And he says as Zoef says. Pretty much all the free ones come out of the same computer originally anyway, the GFS model apparently.
