Young new liveaboard in North Carolina

Recently left the Army (originally from California) and bought a 1977 S2 8.0b. taught myself how to "sail" if you can call it that haha on the 2 day trip from the outer banks to my home at anchor here in Wrightsville Beach NC.

Anyone else in the area or planning on passing through?

Is the guy who blew his boat up with propane, then duck taped it back together still anchored there? He uses seagull motor from 1950 because it's "the best outboard motor in the world"

Hahaha wow, I wish he was still here just for the entertainment. Only one or two boats in banks channel, everyone has pushed south already.

Re: Young new liveaboard in North Carolina

well, welcome aboard CF, Salty. You are way ahead of many first time posters here, having gone and purchased a boat without asking our advice... likely saving yourself a lot of misery!

Enjoy the forum, and call upon us for advice when you need it. You'll at least get a laugh in return, and with luck some good ideas.

Enjoy!

Jim
