Yo Ho Ho, &...
...A bottle of [mumbles incoherently].
Hello (again) CF. I used to be a member here when I had a boat, but sold her and went inactive. Now, looking at boats again, and just created new account rather than drag the old one out of mothballs.
Will be sailing out of NC, and considering a Springtime passage to Central America. For that, I expect to take on some seasoned crew, and will probably seek other NC sailors for day-sail & overnight coastal cruises in the meantime.

P.S. Why is God vengeful? ( Deo Vendice)
Is s/he vengeful just towards sailors? Or just yourself?

I believe the correct spelling is as in my screen name, and the translation from Latin is God will vindicate us. Motto for the Confederacy, currently being vindicated for desiring separation from the empire. God need not be vengeful, He being just and righteous. He.

It has been 55+ years since I took Latin (had no choice)... but Wikipedia definition:
Deo vindice (Latin for "(With) God (as our) defender/protector")[n

No, and no. I'll think I'll stay, and remain true to the spirit of Independence while I'm here. In fact, having ancestors who fought in both American wars for independence (AND on the right side both times), I say we have nothing to be ashamed of.

Thanks. I didn't quite expect it to be universally popular, but didn't expect the gnashing of teeth over my introduction, either.
I like Jack mighty good, but am sad when good people have to buy their likker from the government.

Is that a trick question? The American side both times...the one fighting to leave the empire. All they ever wanted was to have their own thing, those pesky Americans.

Which American do you mean? White Americans? Native Americans? Christian Americans? Which Christian church? Male Americans? Liberal Americans?
