Yacht/Home Sitting?

Good afternoon everyone,
My wife and I are new to the forum, but 20 plus years in the yachting and sportfishing industry as owner/operators, and a husband and wife, captain/cook and mate/stew team!
We currently reside in St Petersburg Beach, Florida area. We love being on the water every second, and find ourselves slowly moving closer to the sail/catamaran adventure when we permanently retire, so I know 100% I have found the right place for any possible info and guidance we may need!
As for now, we are looking for anyone possibly looking for two honest, middle aged, hardworking people to watch over their home, or work aboard their private boat for the approximate months of Jan thru March 2019, or work permanently if the right fit with the boat.
We will be in Panama from this Sept to end of November, probably come back to Florida to check on our condo, then hopefully head back out again. We will work for a very fair compensation, we aren't above cleaning, scrubbing, painting etc! Depending on location, we are usually open to paying half for the airfare. We come with no drama, baggage, or egos, just fun people with old school work ethic! Let us know your thoughts, and great to be part of your family!

Thanks again,

Capt Steve and Eva

Re: Yacht/Home Sitting?

You mention house sitting. There is an active group of match-making services that connect home sitters with home owners seeking sitters. Usually the deal is sitters pay some or all daily expenses, but get to live rent-free while maintaining the home.

My spouse and I have been combining cruising and house sitting for the past few years. I heard rumours about folks doing boat sitting in the same way, but have never found a similar matchmaking service.

Thank you very much,
I hope this message finds you well. The cruising and possibly house sitting, via the house sitting apps could work when we purchase another boat! For now, any home/boat sitting positions would work! We are open to working out any deals as at certain times we may be able to rent our condo! We are really looking hard for Jan thru March, possibly May for another position, boat or home. We would even consider working aboard a larger catamaran for free, just for the experience? I again thank you for your help, hopefully one day we will meet to put a name with a face!

Safe Passages,

Capt Steve and Eva
