pirate With both feet!

Hello all, my name is Jason. Like a few others here, I am jumping into sailing with both feet. I have been sailing on my friends 38’ for a couple of years now. Not often enough, but sufficiently enough to get hooked. I have spent many nights out, experiencing the peace of ducking into a cove for the night, and anchoring where no one else is around. Also had the thrill of ‘oh-oh’ moments when things break or the weather wasn’t as forecasted. After much research and many visits to boats throughout the US, I finally bought a 42’ Valiant. I’m moving onto it full time in March in FL. I’ve already learned quite a bit reading some of the threads from the experienced sailors, and from the questions from the newbies like myself. I’m looking forward to meeting you here, and on the water. See you out there!

Re: With both feet!

Enjoy. Some of those not yet hooked, are also enamored by the romantic notion of live aboard. I am one of those.
Hopefully, your quest will meet with success.
Betting, with becoming homeless and broke, to experience the dream, is a hell of a bet.
But you will be able to avoid the regret of non-action. Here’s to that end.
