I cruise full time with my wife and we constantly meet single me who need a sailing companion...
But the old joke about "send picture of boat" is actually very appropriate...Good men tend to be good sailors and keep their boat in 'Bristol Fashion.' We meet a fair number of bums on boats that are floating disasters...both the boat and the skipper!
Good luck in your search Phil

I've met some very nice men who's boats were a mess, some even dangerous and unsafe- but they were still very good people- I don't think the state of your vessels shape has anything to do with a person being "Good or a bum"-
no more than because one has a nice looking vessel in ship shape & Bristol fashion makes one a good person!

I think you've come to the right place and started with a good introduction. Why don't you fill out your profile with some more information and a location and maybe a picture.

Welcome and good luck in your search.
I hope you're not turned off by the extreme judgmental reply you got.
Lots of different types on here.

Gentlemen, "I think that you protest too much."
The lady needs to get on a safe boat with a competent skipper!
