welcome

Thank you for the warm welcome. My husband Rex and I have finally bought the cruising boat of our dreams , 1980 41' Islander Freeport .Our home port is Destin Florida and frankly it gets to cold here for our taste and so we are planning our first journey on Valahalla to central america timing is late we know but as it is a boat delays are inevitable. Any insight for a route with easier passage this time of year will be greatly appreciated. As we are going through her with a fine toothed comb before departure hopefully we can pass on knowledge we are learning in the future.Thank you again and we look forward to mmeeting fellow adventure seekers on our journey.

Re: welcome

Welcome. Hey we're with you on the cold thing. We're on the Mississippi gulf coast and we're heading down south this spring for as long as we feel like doing it.

It's tough having to endure the cold getting the boat ready to go.
