Hi all,
I'm 41...damn soon to be 43. The years go by way to fast. I have wanted to sail since I was a kid but life has always gotten in the way. Now I'm married, have 3
kids and its even harder to find time. My goal is to take a sailing class in Kingston NY with Griffin Sailling this year and pass
ASA 101. Next year I hope to buy a small 20+ ft. trailered
sail boat and sail on the
Hudson for a few years. And then get the hell out of NY. I figure
cruise the
Carribean for a few years before taking the plunge and going around the world. God only knows how old I'll be when that happens though. My wife, bless her heart thinks I'm crazy but she says she'll go with me 6 months on and 6 months off.
I don't want to wait till we retire, I want to go while we're still physically able to do it. If anyone is sailing on the
Hudson River and needs a some help, please shoot me a message, I'm a sailing virgin but I'm a quick learner.
