Valkay: New cruiser to the group

Hi all my name is Mike and my wife Wai and I are new to the cruising group. We recently retired and purchased our dream boat a 53’ Phillips Rhodes steel sloop that we plan on enjoying the cruising life on. We are currently in San Diego and are planning on port hopping down the coast to Panama with plans on arriving in Panama in November to transit the canals to the Atlantic. So,no real hurry going south just staying out of the way of any hurricanes and enjoying the summer. We will also be looking to take on deck hands during the trip if anyone is interested send me a note. We will cover all boat expenses and split food and diesel costs. Should be a really fun trip! We would also love to meet up with any other cruisers that might be heading south as well. Looking forward to making new friends and creating many awesome memories!
