If you'll re-read the thread, you'll discover that it isn't sending a PM that is restricted until a member has ten posts, it's trying to send a PM with a link in it that looks like spam to the software that runs this site.

You can always contact the moderators by clicking on the Report Post icon in the lower left of every post. (See the attached screen shot, below.) In the event you've been totally locked out of the site for some reason - such as forgetting your password - you can always contact The Help Desk by using the Contact Us link at the left end of the bottom menu. (See second attached screen shot, below.) A message there will also reach site staff. The worst idea, in the event you can't log in, is to open a new account to get back in, because it is a violation to have more than one account.

One clever member who was hindered by problems at every turn in his attempts to post or send a PM, even though he had successfully logged in, resorted to the Thanks button at the lower right of one of my posts to send me a message about the problems he was having. It isn't the normal way to get the attention of a member of the site staff . . . but it worked.
