Thumbs up The Tropical North

Well.... OK....

Hi team I've been sneeking into the forums for a little while and have finally bitten the bullet.

I live Darwin and work in Arhnem Land in the tropical north of Australia. My little 30ft ply boat sits peacefully at her berth in Darwin waiting for my weekly attention when I fly home.

Shadowfax III was sold to me as a Van De Stadt and given her sailability I have no doubt that she is. She is strong and fast and has a mind of her own. As to which model there is some debate I sent VDS a pic of her asking if they would claim her and they replied that she is a Black Soo but the keel is not the same as in the Black Soo drawings that VDS sent me. Digging through some papers that came with her someone has highlighted a Plymouth. The previous owner told me she was built in South Africa so potentially she could be a Royal Cape One Design. If anyone knows of her or origins, history etc. I would love to here from them.

I look forward to occassionally getting involved on these forums.
