The next chapter

Hello all, My wife and myself are finally retired and looking forward to spending a few years sailing around in the Caribbean or the Bahamas. I've just started delving into the wealth of information on this forum and would like to thank you all for your input, helping us that are newer.

All the best, Dave and Janine

Re: The next chapter

Dave and Jeanine,

My husband and I are on track to do the same thing, now that retired. Getting ready to sell everything and expect to purchase boat this summer. Hope to make gulf crossing Nov/Dec 2021. Have taken ASA 101, 102, 104 and 110. Hoping that will help with obtaining insurance when the time comes. Hopefully islands will be easier to get in and out of by then as so many of the boats for sale are sitting there. We have a large dog so would prefer to start out from us. You will find that not only is the forum a wealth of info, but they help to keep the dream alive as we work towards our goal. Good luck.

Re: The next chapter

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

If you need further help let me know, I would be happy to.
