Cool The cats and humans say how-do

Hello, we are Lainey and Rico, travelling with our wonderfully attentive humans, aboard a 40' Freedom sailboat. We had no sailing experience prior to being relcoated last January. This life is way better than being on Terra firma, as we get to roam around outside on the deck. Our humans even put lifeline netting around the boat for us so we wouldn't fall overboard. We think they are a bit over protective, but you know those humans

Hello Fellow Boaters from the attentive humans! We are FT cruisers getting close to celebrating our 1-year anniversary of heading south from San Diego to Mexico, but our cruising journey started in June 2017 from the Monterey Bay. We are cruising in a 1996 Freedom 40/40 and we are her 3rd set of passengers. The Captain has been sailing on and off for most of his life, he started sailing on the San Francisco Bay, but never owned his own until the Kite. The First Mate took one week of sailing lessons in June 2016 and was captivated, so we started the boat looking and buying process. The First Mate and Captain had very different ideas on the necessities, as well as look.

While the Kite didn't fit in with any of the First Mate's ideas, once she stepped foot on the Kite, she fell in love. The deal was sealed the very next day.

Fast forward, we are just finishing up our summer in the Sea of Cortez and getting ready to head for mainland Mexico. We will spend some time exploring the mainland along the Sea of Cortez before heading south to Banderas Bay and beyond!

Nice to meet y'all!

Re: The cats and humans say how-do

Welcome aboard CF, guys.

Jim and I loved our cruising in the Golfo de California, and beyond; I hope lady luck and Neptune are as kind to you as they were to us.

Ann

Cat's are the best friend you can have along for your journey.
