Still in dry dock

Well, I'm not quite a live aboard yet, but considering the amount of time I spend working on the boat I might be a "junior" live aboard. I bought my T30 for a dollar a year ago and just started working on her this past summer. I have a long way to go but I hope to start living aboard in just under 2 years. Right now I'm just finishing up the deck joints before battening her up for the winter (NJ). You can check it all out at The Resurrection of Hobyn

Welcome – I’m new here myslef and mostly a lurker, but enjoyed scanning your site… lived aboard for about five years, twenty or so years ago… Two things I concluded… a boat project is never done, and the bigger the boat (mine was an Irwin 42 center-cockpit), the more daunting the project… for me that meant go smaller than I did last time… this past year my bride and I happened upon a semi-abandoned little sloop and although it was structurally sailable and we had a reassuring overnighter bring her home, it needs lots of TLC… we’re pecking away at a few minor projects while it’s still in the water and assembling half a closet full of stuff for when we haul it in a week or so…

Good luck with yours…
