Stepping out of the dark

Good day cruiser forum,
First and foremost, I would like to say thank you to all the members for contributing your knowledge and experience to this site each and every day. I have been a long time lurker, diligently sorting through priceless information, that has come in great use time and time again. So finally, as my boat comes close to completion, I felt it necessary to step out of the shadow and express my gratitude.

I am by all means a novice at sailing. Though I have a plethora of experience on boats, from small fishing skiffs in the puget sound, launching dory’s from the Oregon coast, to captaining a 36’ trawler around the Great Lakes. However I am not oblivious to the amount of work and determination it will take to learn all the skills necessary for sailing. And with that I find myself coming here to your guidance once more.

There is still lots to do until the boat is done, and some of the next projects are beyond my area of expertise, so I foresee myself coming here in the near future with further help. At least this way you will have a small idea about who it is asking for help if I post.

Thanks for your time,

Matthew

Re: Stepping out of the dark

Welcome aboard Matt (seems like we have a bunch of Matts in the crew) and we're here to answer questions and offer advice, some of which may be good!

So, ask away as needed, and give us some details about your boat and your plans. That info will help us with answering queries.

Cheers,

Jim
