Sold the House
Hi; We are a franco américaine couple with a ten year old daughter. We decided to sell our house and buy a sailboat to spend some time visiting the world. We bought a 47 foot Sun Odyssey in St. Nazaire which we'll be sailing down to La Rochelle in July. We live in La Rochelle,France; at least until the end of August when we'll be leaving to start our travels. We'll be looking for crew if anyone is interested?
Maybe we'll run into some of you sometime.

Re: sold the house
Elizabeth, 10 is the perfect age to begin sailing with a daughter. Pretty soon she'll be driving the dinghy by herself and standing day watches. I hope you enjoy schooling on the boat, we certainly did.

Re: sold the house
Absolutely, Sussie at 11 was driving a 25 knot rib in a F5 and having a whale of time crashing through the waves from Belle Ile to La Taballe. The only problem was she needed a box to stand on. I should point out my hand was just inches from the throttle.
