Thumbs up Social Network for Sailing Enthusiasts

Hi everyone,

great forum, this is!

I am looking for people who would like to help us test-run our brand-new "Social Network" for sailing enthusiasts. We figured we just need some more feedback before our official launch...

Don't want this to look like a spam posting, so if you are interested please leave me a message and I'll send you the URL.

thanks for your help,
Marc

If it sounds like spam, looks like spam, is posted by a first time user - then IMHO it possibly is spam.

Yeah, just send him your email address. This looks a lot more like spam than R.U.

If any thread should be deleted, this one should.

OK Marc. Tell us about your network.

So, far you haven't violated any of the RULES. We have a bright crew here and you just can't drop in requesting e-mail addresses it's like a TV ad. You have to acquire credibility here and/or show your experience.................._/)

"Social Network" for sailing enthusiasts? Sounds like swingers or some other type of hanky-panky. Do tell us more.

I will join in, but only to be polite. I like to keep the British end up when abroad

ok, here's some more info on the project: I work for a company that creates specialized online communities. I'm new to this forum because I just found out about it. my goal is to get some people from the target group (that would be you) to test-drive our social network before our official launch.

the website we are building is kind of a facebook.com/myspace.com/xing.com for sailing enthusiasts (if you don't know what social networks are you might want to check these websites out). Its not about swinging or hanky-panky, it's just a great tool for staying in contact with the people you meet and getting to know new people. it is all about sailing, nothing sleazy.

uh, and it is free, too.

I really do not want to collect any email addresses here, I'm not expecting any emails. If you are interested in the project (and only then) and would like to test our website, please leave me a private message (click on my username, hit "send private message" and there you go - no need to send me your email address).

thank you
Marc

And how is that any different than what we've strived to create here on Cruisers Forum?

I think it's unconscionable that you'd come to a similar/competing forum to solicit for members. Your post is nothing more than thinly veiled SPAM.

the thing is, what we are trying to create is NOT a forum. i don't see our website as a competition to this one - at all.
