Signing In From Aus

Hi,
We're Paul and Sue. We're currently In Aus re-fitting our boat and are probably going back in the water around October to head out of the tropics before the cyclone season. We'll be sailing over the top of Australia, then heading across the Gulf of Carpentaria, then down the East Coast...stopping off in Cairns, then wherever, til we hop across the ditch to Kiwiland. These forums are terrific...really helpful in all sorts of ways. Looking forward to seeing some of you out there one day. Happy sailing.

Re: Signing In From Aus

Welcome aboard Companion! Plenty of great sailing waters from Cairns (Lizard Island) to Kiwi. I have been to a few islands/atolls along the way, but not most of them. One day, when I re-arrange my schedules, I plan to spend a few years island hopping in that area; after all, I do not need an airport. Sail away!

Re: Signing In From Aus

Welcome Paul and Sue,

Perhaps our wakes will cross. We enjoy this part of the world so much that we've been caught in the South Pacific eddy ever since we arrived here in 1990... so beware of getting stuck!

Cheers,

Jim
