Well hi Squirrel. Welcome to the forum. If you need help on your project just ask some detailed questions and sit back. Detailed answers will come back to you.

Oh yes, go sailing whenever you can.

Welcome aboard Squirrel,

Where abouts in Scotland are you.? Its a wee bit "brass monkey" weather for living aboard so make sure you have a good heater or plently of "nippy sweeties". The forum has an encyclopedic coverage of topics...so the best way is use the search facility on any topic such as eg. "fitting out" etc and you will find a wealth and breadth of knowledge, views and experience to assist you select your decisions.

Regards

alan

Thanks for the welcomes!

Hey Skipmac, i made a post in the live-aboard section called "A Complete Rookie with a 28ft Aluminium Hull and an Obsession with Living Aboard" and already got some great answers but still got loads more questions...

Hi Alan, i live in Stirling at the moment, but got my sights set on Port Edgar Marina which is just down the road from me... I know there are much nicer places around but gotta stay close to Stirling cause of a job. N yes it gets a wee bit chilly here in the winter but i was born in Russia so like a bit of snow. Still, definitely going to have a heater and thinking about insulation. Leaning towards diesel and spray foam respectively... But will have a look in the encyclopaedia!
Cheers!

Hey again,

Guess what, I've been boating 35 years, owned at least 6 boats plus several dinghies, and I still have
lots of questions. It just never ends.
