Returning to the forum after a few years of inactivity

Hello and greetings from the poor cruising grounds of Southeast Indiana!
I thought this would be a good place to start fresh since I haven't been very active on this site in a few years.
I currently own and mostly day sail a West Wight Potter 19 on an inland lake here in Indiana, but as luck would have it, I found, viewed and put a deposit on a real "Plastic Classic" yesterday, with the intentions of bringing it home later in the week.
The new boat is a 1959 S&S designed, Ray Greene built New Horizons 26'. It looks to be in excellent shape, very well cared for and updated by a retired Naval Officer.
I'm looking forward to expanding my cruising grounds, with the eventual plan of tackling the Great American Loop in a few years, and meanwhile getting as much water time as I am able.
As I transition from a very simple trailer sailor to a small cruising boat, I am quite certain I'll be referencing this site quite a bit more often.
I've already done a site search, but if anyone has any info, or questions, on the New Horizons, please feel free to reach out to me.

Sounds like a good plan, likely a really nice old boat. I assume she is timber, and if she's from S&S, she'll be a sweet sailor.
