Return to sailing, new member.

Greetings,

My name is Don, a lifelong boater returning to sailing after many years of power boating. We live on Lake Ontario and hope to purchase our first sailboat (other than a Sunfish) as a married couple. The wife and I are not yet fully retired.

As a young man, I sailed a 16' daysailer and also had the privilege of using the family 1955 Chris Craft Capri. Additionally, I spent many hours sanding, painting and calking that boat.

Yesterday I placed an offer on a 1966 Alliance Seabreeze. My friend is a surveyor and a lifelong sailer, so the boat received a thorough going over. We are waiting to hear back from the broker.

I figured that would happen 77, DonR was already taken so I had to reverse the name in order for it to be accepted. Thank you all for the welcome! Wife's name is Nancy, hopefully we will hear from the broker shortly. The Alliance is a mess, however, it's not my first go around with a mess
