Quick Intro from Md

Great forum, finally getting around to joining. We are Bob and Chela from St Mary's City Md. Have owned Shannon 28 "Macushla" since 1991 (will be up for sale this spring), mostly cruising Chesapeake Bay but did take her as far south as Wardrick Wells in the Bahamas back in 2001-2002, and lived aboard from 2001 to 2004. Recently bought Shannon 37 "Bella Sera" with goal of "local Atlantic" (Bermuda, Bahamas, Canadian Maritimes) cruising over the next umpteen years. Have also made multiple transits to/from the Bahamas on a friends Norseman 43 (2002-2006) and Dolphin 46 (2007). Look forward to meeting many of you, and will undoubtedly have many questions as we work Bella into shape/upgrade.

Regards, Bob & Chel

Hi, Bob and Chel.

I can't believe no one acknowledged your first post with a welcome! I missed seeing it myself in the "New Posts" section--sometimes the new ones get cycled through quickly.

St. Mary's City is a pretty place. I've spent a few nights anchored in The Horseshoe, and have partied there after the Governor's Cup. Used to live on a little creek north of the Rappahannock in Virginia, not too far south of you.

Congrats on the Shannon--very nice boat, and well suited for the cruising you plan to do.

All the best,

Aloha Bob and Chel,
Welcome aboard! I too wonder why you didn't get many welcomes. Please keep us informed of your latest progress on the Shannon. Look forward to the classifieds with your 28 in it.
Kind Regards,
JohnL
