Questions... actually more of a Survey

Hey,
I'm just trying to gather as much as I can about Sailing so I can better plan how I will get into sailing once I get into college. Haha sorry about the huge amount of questions... I just have a lot of them I guess. My apologies if any of the questions are a bit personal.

-How big is your boat?
-How much did your boat cost?
-What age did you get your boat/get into sailing?
-How often do you go sailing?
-How close do you live to the ocean?

-How often do you get stuck with no wind in the ocean?
-What do you do if you get stuck in a thunderstorm while you are at sea?
-How do you produce electricity for appliances?
-Is sailing to remote islands as simple as sailing there and anchoring or do you have to deal with customs officers and passports and finding a marina?
-What precautions do you take against getting attacked by pirates?
-Do you fish for food a lot or do you mostly buy everything?

For people that live in their boats:
-Do you live alone or with other people? (who else and how many?)
-Do you have pets?
-Do you mostly live in one marina or do you constantly move around?
-How do you make a living?
-If you have kids, how do they get an education?
-Is it hard to make and keep friends?

Hi and welcome to the Forum. I read your first introduction post. This here section is for introductions. If you take a look around the CF, you will find many of the questions you have asked here have already been discussed. If you want to ask a question however, take a look at the various sections and post your question under a relevant heading. That way you have a better chance of folks seeing, reading and answering your post.
I am going to close this post so as answers do don't get posted here, or they will get lost.
No harm done by the way.
