Planning the Future in South Carolina

I've been hanging around Beaufort SC for my entire life and always have been on small boats. I always envied the "snow birds" passing my dock heading up and down the intracoastal.
I'm planning on researching and learning about big boats for the next few years, and hopefully before I'm 50 getting something in the 32-40' range for slow cruising. I really don't have a clue now, other than I seem to be drawn to trawler designs.

Look forward to getting all the good info I can.

John

Yea, I've been down the waterway in a sailboat, but was in too much of a hurry. Got a 32 trawler now and plan on doing it the slow way sometime soon. A lot of nice little spots...

Have a look at the Grand Banks sweet! I owned and lived aboard a 40 ft Ocean Alexander for about a year. Great live aboard, great coastal cruiser too.
Good luck and welcome aboard,
Erika

I saw an awesome GB in New Bern this weekend. Way out of my range though I'm sure. I'm going to be in that 30-50K range.
