Planning our first overnight cruise

We are planning on sailing from Lake Ponchetrain to Bay St. Louis over two days. This is our frist trip out of the Lake. We would appreciate any advice or suggestions.

Wear your harness at night and when awake alone. Reef early and dont get locked in to your course/rhumb line if conditions make the sucky

Be prepared to modify either depending on the circumstances.
