Nice to be on the forum!

Hi, I'm Marnix. I've lurked on the forum a little in the past, but finally really getting into it. I'm a 17 year old with big hopes of one day pursuing liveaboard or coastal cruising. I was born in The Hague, The Netherlands, but moved to Colorado. Here I teach sailing at a small sailing club, and sail my own 19 foot Lightning Sailboat. I love rebuilding and building boats. Really great to be involved with the forum, ready to learn lots more about the liveaboard/cruising lifestyle and requirements.

Howdy Marnix. Welcome Aboard CF!

Since you mentioned you are interested in "Liveaboard" you should look through the extensive past posts (topics) in the Liveaboard forum here on this site. Or any of the other fora (or sub forums) where there are many thousands of topics. There is also a related "Cruising Wiki" where you can find some info too.

Enjoy your time here. Have fun sailing.

Hi Marnix, Nice to meet you. Sound like you are doing good on your way to being a crusty old shellback.

Re: Nice to be on the forum!

g'Day Marnixx, and welcome to the participating side of CF. I'm always glad to find younger folks who have a deep interest in sailing. With such an early start, you could forge a great career in things maritime, or simply enjoy sailing as a lifestyle... so many choices to make ahead of you.

Good luck, and enjoy CF.

Jim
