Newbie sailor in traing

Hello All

Well at that age when I can finally go live the dream

Will appreciate any advise and input from the Salty Sea Dogs

I will be doing a Combo course next year , I am in South Africa , with the view to buying a used 40ft sail boat , then get some NM under my belt coastal sailing , for ICC ,

Any help getting to that goal would be greatly appreciated , happy to crew willing to contribute with costs to get some experience and NM ,

Glad to finally get here been a long life to finally be able to afford this opportunity ,


I will be travelling with my 2 dogs , so any helpful hints and useful information will be greatly appreciated by animal lovers

The best advice is sail, sail, sail!!!

There is also a section in the Forum where you can post a "Crew Available" ad, which might help you with finding some crewing spots. Be prepared to perhaps leave the doggies at home, however...
