Newbie here!

Hello, my name is Christine and I am from Nova Scotia Canada. I am new to this forum, and soon will be new to sailing. My husband and I have offered on a sailboat in Florida. Just going through the process right now. Our plan is to winter in the Caribbean and summer in Nova Scotia. We will be sticking to coastal cruising. It's going to be a wild ride!

Welcome.

If you plan to winter in the Caribbean and summer in Nova Scotia, have you thought about how you will get between the two? You wrote that you will be sticking to coastal cruising. It is only about 1500nm offshore from St Martin to NS, but over three times that if you try to do it near-coastal.
