Aloha, all you sailors! I am new to this site. I look forward to hearing your thoughts,feedback, stories, advice, etc. I am still doing homework, saving $, and learning all I can about blue water cruising. I started sailing as a boy on the ole sunfish on lakes. I sailed with my Great Uncle in New Bedford ,MA, & that really got me hooked! Ever since then, I knew I would get a sailboat & see how far I can go. It will be a year or more until I am ready to get a boat, but I am hoping to start off on the right foot by picking the brains of all the old salts and hardcore cruising Veterans here. I vividly remember my youthful outings on Sunfish sailboats too. I suspect that is how a lot of sailors got their start or hooked.
