Cool Newbie from Miami, Florida

Just wanted to introduce myself. Just join today and I join to learn about boating and all that goes with it. I live in Miami, Florida and want to buy a boat eventually. I am retired.

Miguel, welcome and the best advice I can give you is join Where Sailors Belong! in the Grove and take sailing lessons.

Once you have passed the sailing tests the Club has boats that you can use for a fraction of the cost of buying. Use of a 30 ft Beneteau is $50/month.

Re: Newbie from Miami, Florida

Hi Miguel!
Miami is a great place to learn about sailing and maybe even buy a boat! We were (and I guess still are!) newbies that got our boat in Miami - it's a great place to look at all sorts of boats, meet other sailors and learn to sail. We did several ASA classes on our own boat at Bluewater Sailing School in Miami and learned a bunch. Welcome to the forum - it's great and good luck!!
