I am 28 years old and this is my first
boat. It is an old 1978 25' Buccaneer. Someone had let it sit for about 7 years at the docks. I got it fixed up and took her sailing this last weekend. First time she'd had
sails on her in almost 10 years. It was fun to see the reaction of the people at the marina...they were really excited to see her fixed up and sailing. The person on the slip next to me has a 60' dual
mast sailboat and is looking for a crew....I talked to one of his friends and he said since I am doing well with mine, he might hire me on for the weekends. I think that would be awesome. My dad used to
race sailboats in the gulf back years ago, so he is happy I am getting into
boats now.
