need as much information as you can throw at me. I have agreed to go on a Cat with 3 other blokes to assist with a sail down to Australia from the Philippines. The Captain is my best man and I have known him for well over 20 years. i.e. I feel completely safe with the people I will be travelling with.

I am a registered nurse (not currently working). I am aware that the trip has some risks. My mum refuses to engage in conversation or help out with the teenagers because I want to do it. She believes it is too dangerous for a woman.

I expect the trip will take about 2 weeks.

Where do you all get travel insurance, how much risk is there with pirates etc...

Re: Newbie

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.
