Newbe but not new

Hello everyone I am Kevn and I am new to this site
Ill try not to look to much like a new-be and offend anyone right away or at all...
if some one could direct me to the right area I would be grateful
I am 54 and own my own business, and getting ready to go through a divorce after 24 yrs... I want to relocate back to the Ventura area where I grew up and I am looking for a live-aboard, to rent,,, however I have no interest in using the boat for anything other then living on, so I only need one that floats I do not intend to leave the dock.
it would be just for me and my bull dog and then my little ( 13) girl every other weekend
Is this something that does not sound to crazy ?

Re: Newbe but not new

Thanks for the welcome
In My younger years I had a buddy that grew up on the water in Santa Barbara and for years we would go every Wed for Wet Wed and Sundays for salty Sundays and sail and race I was just there to be ballast, I do love it and have always wanted to get back on the water and sail, wife said No way! ( did not even know she new how to sail for the first 10 years of marriage, as she grew up in Ventura also) but I have to start with Baby steps as I work a lot I only need something to sleep on for now. a few days a week (4-5) I would be working out of town 2-3 days a week
But someday that is the Plan but for now a Beggar cant be a chooser
and I don't want to ask for to much, But I have the need and it has been there for a very long time ....so .. it is just someday for now..

Welcome. Kevn.

If you sign in, go to the "Search" drop down menu at the top of this page, and type "liveaboard cost" into the google search window, you'll find threads from this forum on the topic. Good luck.
